Intern Program

Are you a champion conversationalist that can talk to your friends about anything? Do you have a sense of humor worthy of its own standup routine? Do you think your Twitter profile should be certified because you’re the best tweeter you know? Then maybe you’re made for an internship at Peppercomm.

Peppercomm is always seeking outgoing, motivated and creative candidates for our paid internship program. Our interns, who we like to refer to as ‘The PeppSquad’, work a full-time schedule allowing them to gain hands-on exposure to the integrated marketing and communications industry. Each term, the internship program offers positions in communications, measurement and analytics, and licensing in our New York and San Francisco offices.

PeppSquad members are supported by the Intern Committee and paired with a buddy to help show them the ropes of the agency. As part of the team, they can also expect to be treated as an entry-level communications pro. There are too many responsibilities to list, but here are several to get you started:

  • Developing Media Lists
  • Media Monitoring and Clipping
  • Media Pitching
  • Participation on internal and client calls
  • Research
  • Social media management and content development
  • Writing
  • Exposure to integrated marketing

Having a basic understanding of public relations and strong oral and written communication skills are a must.

There are three internship sessions, lasting three to four months in length:

Spring: January-April (Deadline to apply: November 1)
Summer: May-August (Deadline to apply: March 15)
Fall/Winter: September-December (Deadline to apply: July 5)

To apply for an internship at Peppercomm’s New York or San Francisco office, please send your cover letter and resume to Kristin Davie at internjobs@peppercomm.com. We don’t mind if you want to get creative.

Be sure to visit our blog, PRiscope, all about navigating the journey of entry-level life in communications.
